HAPPY AUGUST!!
Hello, Everyone!!!
I'm not at all sure where this summer has gone, but it sure is flying by!
Here on the Double Q, we've got lots of hot, steamy weather and
things are growing like mad! Our tomatoes, now a memory almost a
month now, were wonderful. In September, we'll be putting in our
second crop - a luxury we never had in New Jersey. Carm is
perfecting a datil pepper sauce that folks are raving about - we
bought 2 tiny plants at the County Fair last year for $2.00 each - they
are almost 3' tall, now. Our lime and tangelo trees have fruit on
them, so perhaps this winter, we'll enjoy our own citrus, too!
Carm's busy at Tractor Supply and enjoying his new motorcycle on
days we don't have storms. Looking forward to late fall/winter when
he can ride daily and we can do some of those weekend trips we've
been talking about.
I've got a busy fall coming up: Crime Scene NJ3 has been pushed
back to a December release but we're all looking forward to it! In
October, Florida and NJ friends and I will be going to Bouchercon in
Maryland - then I'm heading for NJRW at the end of October to
present a course and meet with friends and agents. November will
be the Florida Writers Conference in Lake Mary.
